Support our students to achieve sports excellence
What is the St Catherine's story with sports? It is simple, we are a team, we are a community and sports is a great way to show that unity, but also promote true sportsmanship, healthy life long skills outside of the academic realm, together by creating a bond and spirit like no other! We love it as a school, across the school!
Sports has always been a big part of the ethos of St Catherine's as an extension of the classroom. Our sports Programme provides all students with a place whether it be a field, court, trail or swim lane to learn about teamwork, experience personal growth, and build strong moral character. We are committed to providing a wide variety of experiences through sport to teach students life-long skills, including respect, commitment and sportsmanship.
At St Catherine's, we want to develop a Sports Complex which appeals to all in the aim of fostering the StCats warrior spirit, instil pride in our school and ensure that all students leave with positive memories and a love of sport. It's time to invest in a space that will support continuous play through all seasons. Additionally, as the number of athletes/athletics continue to grow in St Catherine's, there is a need to create a complex to ensure all community members may experience its benefits.
The new Sports Complex is a project that will put our School on the map for high-ranking competitions, providing growing opportunities for our children and young athletes. The complex will be an investment with far-reaching impact to vast school and recreation activities, as well as place where sports comes alive and brings our community together, welcoming also the local community.
