On September 2, as part of the INSET week and the new staff induction, the Management team welcomed the coming academic year and arranged a wine tasting experience with the staff, recognising again their hard work and commitment at the wonderful Kokkotos Estate. The event was designed to be light-hearted, fun and enjoyable, with the right balance between this and learning about the vineyards and the winery.
On the northern slopes of Mount Pendeli, where in ancient times the god of wine Dionysus was worshipped, Mr & Mrs Kokotos created a model vineyard, planting their first vines in 1980. In the estate’s organic vineyards both international and indigenous varieties are cultivated with care. With that caring sentiment, all the family welcomed us at the winery and shared with us the experience of wine cultivation and made us feel part of their story.
The wine tasting was a great way for the staff to start the school year and to welcome the new staff into the St Catherine's family. The time just whizzed by and we are definitely hoping for a future social event very soon.
Many thanks to the whole Kokkotos family for welcoming us once again to their beautiful estate, in a perfect setting, it was really great spending an afternoon with colleagues in this very picturesque environment outside in the fresh air.
We wish all the staff a good start to the year with good health and happiness!
