St. Catherine's U11, U13, and U15 squads had an unforgettable and transformative trip at the The World School Games (WSG) in Dubai in January. Showcasing exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and dedication, our students returned tired but elated as they've not only represented our school with distinction, but also achieved remarkable success on an international stage!
This year's WSG was a testament to the hard work and preparation of our young athletes and PE department. They've returned with lots of medals, personal bests and broken records all demonstrating the high standards and competitive spirit of St. Catherine’s. A standout moment was the U15 boys' squad securing 2nd place in the football tournament, displaying exceptional teamwork and skill throughout the matches. Similarly, the U15 mixed squad's achievement of a 2nd place overall trophy reflecting the depth of talent and commitment amongst our students. An outstanding accomplishment!
These achievements are more than just victories; they are milestones in both the personal and athletic journeys of our students. Behind each achievement lies a story of perseverance, resilience, and growth. The medals and records symbolise what can be accomplished with dedication and the support of peers and mentors. Our PE Department also deserves a round of applause for their outstanding efforts, as their dedication and support have been instrumental in preparing our athletes for the challenges of the WSG. Their commitment to excellence in sports education has clearly paid off, as evidenced by our students' outstanding performances.
Congratulations to all the athletes, coaches, and staff involved in this year's World School Games. Your hard work, spirit, and achievements have brought honor to St. Catherine's, inspiring us all to strive for excellence in every endeavor. As we celebrate these accomplishments, we're reminded of the unifying power of sports in our community. The success of our students at the WSG highlights what can be achieved with passion, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence as a team and as individuals. Here's to building on this success and reaching new heights in the future!
Finally, we would like to share with you some record breaking final scores from the World School Games. We are so proud of all of our athletes for your accomplishments!
