10 minute Yoga class for the children by Alum Natalie Jones

Alumni Natalie Jones shares her 10 minute Yoga class for the children of St Catherine's during lockdown and through the snow days.

Former St Catherine’s pupil, Natalie Jones (nee Benetatos) recently created a 10 minute Yoga class for the children she teaches at a local Primary school in Scotland (where they have been in lockdown since January).  When her father told her that Athens is due to go back into lockdown until the end of February, this prompted her to think of the children at St., Catherine’s and to share her video for any of our Primary school children who might benefit:

The video is aimed specifically with P3 and P4 children (ages 6-8) in mind, but might also be enjoyed by some of the younger and older children.

Natalie attended St Catherine’s, with her two brothers Alex and Andrew, from 1979 to 1986.  She continued her education in Scotland, from Secondary School through to obtaining her BA Hons degree.  Prior to becoming a yoga teacher she held Senior Management positions at L’Oreal Ltd, for over 15 years. Here she was responsible for building high performing, motivated teams.

She now offers a range of services for schools which impact in a positive way on pupil's mental health and general well-being (Yoga, Mindfulness, Movement Based Learning and classes for teachers). Her goal is to empower pupils with the ways and means to better deal with all that life throws at them and benefit from the confidence, peace of mind and general health and wellbeing that Yoga and Meditation provides.

Natalie is also mum to a happy, seven year old boy and looks forward to visiting us next time she is in Athens.
