During Children's Mental Health Week, our students were encouraged to express themselves through creative activities and ideas. Have a look at the intiatives that took place in Lower School and Upper School.
As part of our focus on Children’s Mental Health Week, Year 6 designed and decorated stones and left them for their KS2 friends to find. The stones have uplifting messages on them and the intention was for the children who found them to feel brighter for receiving the gift. Zoom in on the detail of these stones and you are sure to feel uplifted!
Quotes from 5C children on finding the stones:
"I was so excited to find a rock and I really appreciated Year 6 trying to cheer us all up. It was lovely." Zenia
"I felt warm inside." Chloe
"I felt happy and positive as during lockdown I really missed my friends and the kind messages remind me I am loved." Niki
"I felt that Year 6 really cared about us and the designs were bright and cheerful." Ellie
Our Upper School students expressed themselves through a 'no uniform' day and wearing their own clothes, marking the end of Children's Mental Health week!
