The IB Graduation Ceremony was a joyous and memorable event, bringing together families, friends, teachers, and alumni to celebrate the achievements of our graduating class. The evening marked years of hard work and dedication by our students, and the happiness and pride we feel as a school community for our graduating Class of 2024.

We are pleased to announce the outstanding achievements of our IB Diploma candidates in this May’s examination session. The key figures are as follows:

• 96% of the full Diploma candidates passed the IB Diploma. (IBO World 2023: 80%)
• Average Diploma total of 35.2 points (IBO World 2023: 30.2 points)
• 21% of the cohort achieved 40 points or higher. (IBO World 2023: 9%)

Our largest ever cohort of ninety-five IB candidates is now able to celebrate their achievements and look forward to studying at many of the finest universities and colleges in the world. They have received and met offers from universities including Oxford University, Yale University, Cambridge University, Columbia University, Imperial College London, Brown University, University College London, Chicago University, London School of Economics, Georgetown University, King’s College London, IE University, Edinburgh University, McGill University, St Andrew’s University, Carnegie Mellon University, Toronto University, Groningen University, Bocconi University, to name a few.

The achievements of the graduates were highlighted, and the excellent IB results were a testament to their dedication and hard work. The future looks exceptionally bright, and we will provide further updates on the final results and confirmed destinations as they come in.

It was heartwarming to see the support from all those who attended, reflecting the close-knit community we value at St. Catherine's. The presence of our alumni emphasized the lasting connections and the importance of our extended school family. After the graduation ceremony, the evening concluded with an amazing reception on the Upper School rooftop, where we enjoyed a fun evening of music, dance, food, and refreshments together, celebrating the bright futures of our graduates and the next chapter outside of our school gates, but still within our family and alumni network.

The ceremony featured inspiring speeches from distinguished guests, including His Excellency Matthew Lodge, the British Ambassador, the Chair of the Board of Governors, Mr. George Drimiotis, Graduate of Class of 2004 and Governor, Dr. Katerina Kantartzis, along with Headteacher, Mr. Smith, Deputy Head and Head of Upper School, Dr. Stuart Bond, Head of IB, Mrs. Lauri-Ann Robertson, and IB Senate Chair, Miss Marina Papalexopoulos. Their words of wisdom and encouragement highlighted the significance of the achievements of our graduates and the supportive community that has helped shape their educational journey.

Congratulations to the Class of 2024 on their outstanding academic achievements. It has been a privilege for us all at St. Catherine's to be part of this significant milestone in your educational journey. Your success is a source of immense pride for us, and we are confident that you are well-prepared for the next phase of your life.
