Congratulations to all our students, parents and staff who supported the DESMOS initiative against COVID-19 and donated to the school drive in June!

Once again DESMOS and St. Catherine’s join hands!
Against COVID-19 Drive Success!

During the last week of school in June, St Catherine's British School organised the Desmos COVID-19 initiative  and the whole school community supported in St Catherine's style, whole-heartedly! ! DESMOS informed us that "the help came at the right time as we had received additional food relief requests and basic needs requests by a number of social welfare organisations".



All the items that were  generously offered by the students, parents and staff were collected by Desmos on the 26th of June, the last day of school before the summer break.

  • 130 PASTA 
  • 66 RICE
  • 81 BEANS
  • 36 TOMATO SAUCE
  • 32 CANNED FOOD
  • 7 SUGAR
  • 3 FLOUR
  • 15 DIAPERS
  • 32 BABY FOOD
  • 21 MILK
  • 50 PERSONAL HYGIENE
  • 19 CLEANING SUPPLIES
  • 36 OTHER ITEMS

On July 14th they were distributed to the following organisations:

  • The Philanthropic Association St. Alexios in Koukaki that offers meals and helps so many underprivileged families in the broader area of the center of Athens.
  • The Anasa Home, a center for autism and mental health rehabilitation which hosts 15  individuals, www.anasahome.gr

The Philanthropic Association St. Alexios received:

Pasta 
Rice 
Beans
Tomato Sauce 
Canned Foods 
Flour
Baby Food 
Diappers 
Antiseptics 
Cleaning Supplies



The Anasa Home received:

Pasta 
Rice 
Beans
Disinfectants  (Dettol & Chlorine) 
Personal Hygiene Products
