The St. Catherine’s School Christmas Drive 2020

Although schools have been closed for over a month, the community of St. Catherine’s joined with Desmos for once again,a successful Christmas drive in aid of others. On December 3rd, despite the COVID19 restrictions, Desmos parked its Van in Nea Erythraia and the community came together  for an incredible result!

Over 60 families showed up and brought the items  and much much requested and so much more:

The items collected and generously offered through the St. Catherine’s School Community drive were then taken to a warehouse, sorted, counted and categorised. Distribution was completed within a week and made such a difference to those who need our help.

The recipient organisations were so pleased and very grateful:

  • KLIMAKA, street work and support of vulnerable groups of people
  • National Center for Social Welfare, ΕΚΚΑ ILION supports women - victims of violence and their children
  • Network for Children’s Rights, supports single parent families in need
  • PROKEKA Amygdaleza, a detention center for refugees, currently a center for COVID19 positive refugees and their families.

On behalf of St Catherine's we would like to thank DESMOS for their great work and continuous support to those who are in need. Thank you to all the families who supported this very important and worthy initiative, despite the difficulties that we are facing during this pandemic, and for supporting DESMOS who helps us to help others.

TOGETHER WE CAN REACH OUR GOALS!
