Gold & Platinum Awards at the Education Leaders Awards 2021

For the 6th year running, the Education Leaders Awards, organised by BOUSSIAS Communications, highlighted the panorama of best practices in education and rewarded institutions from all educational levels. Given the difficult conditions due to the pandemic, this year the participation exceeded all expectations and culminated with the Award and Photography Ceremony that took place on Monday, May 31, at House 124, in the presence of the members of the voting committee. The event took place in full compliance with the health protocol and strict protection measures of COVID-19.

The Chair, Ms. Anna Diamantopoulou, together with the members of the voting committee appraised more than 210 nominations this year and validated the winners, according to their collective scores.

We are delighted to announce that the St Catherine’s new school building received Platinum distinction for the highest score in the overall award section “Management & Facilities”, with the highest award of Gold in the individual category “Building & Facilities”.

The opening of the new Upper School in September 2020, facilitated the first phase of St Catherine’s long-term vision, providing a new state-of-the-art environment to empower future generations to be the next decision makers. The transformation of a former 13,000 sq. industrial complex into a modern eco-friendly school campus, has created the immense potential to offer exciting new learning opportunities for our students, faculty, and our whole community (including our local community) and create a vibrant school atmosphere in an inspirational innovative setting for students at a top British International School with a global reputation.

We would like to thank our architects TOMBAZIS Associates, our FOCAL Project Management team, REDEX our construction company and also our interior Designers from EDJE for their exceptional collaboration and support throughout the project. We are also indebted for the ongoing support to the municipalities of Lykovrissi and Kifissia for helping to make this possible. Lastly, but most importantly, to all our St Catherine’s community for their continuous support in so many ways, enabling the school to realise our bold and exciting vision. The achievement of these prestigious awards from Boussias Communications is due recognition for all the hard work of the Governors and staff of St Catherine’s British School.
