We are delighted to announce our theatre review competition winner, Fotini V., who wrote an outstanding review of our Upper School Performance ‘’An Inspector Calls’’. Not only is it very well-written, Fotini is also well prepared for next year’s English GCSE Exam which focuses on this play, amongst other texts.

Please enjoy the review here, which makes for a great preview read before watching the play. Below is the recorded performance, a perfect and educational watch to enjoy with your family these snow days, and every day actually, especially for all GCSE students!

Be inspired by the reccomendation included in the Play Review of our student Fotini V.

Would you recommend the play to a friend? Why or why not?

"I would strongly recommend the play to a friend, as it is a gripping play, full of drama and mystery. I would also recommend the play, as it makes you think “we don’t live alone, we are members of one body, we are responsible for each other”. The whole play has such a powerful message about all those Eva Smiths existing around us with their own sufferings, hopes and fears. Each one of them deserves a chance of happiness and care, therefore, we cannot stay sluggish with our very own desires and interests ringfenced from the rest of the society. Finally, I would highly recommend this toanyone over thirteen and anyone who likes a cliffhanger play. "

Well done to everyone involved including,  all the students who participated in the English Department’s Theatre Review Competition;  our IB student Christopher P. for his filming and  Mr Koutselos’ on tech.

Once again many congratulations to our IB and Year 10 cast and crew for their outstanding performance in the Upper School Play!

See you soon at the theatre!
