The Library in St. Catherine's Upper School came alive yesterday as IB students took part in the EmpowerU Career Fair — a dynamic event designed to inspire, inform, and empower the next generation of professionals.

A student-driven initiative supported by CAS and the Futures Team, the EmpowerU Career Fair brought together professionals who shared invaluable insights into their industries and personal career journeys from a diverse group of companies, including:

Throughout the day, students engaged in one-to-one discussions and interactive sessions, gaining practical advice on how to navigate their future pathways — from internships to developing the skills and mindset needed to stand out in an increasingly competitive world.

The event’s success reflected the power of collaboration between students, staff, and industry professionals, also from our parent body and alumni. By connecting academic learning with real-world experience, EmpowerU encouraged students to take ownership of their futures with curiosity, confidence, and purpose.

“It was incredible to speak directly with people doing the jobs we aspire to,” said one IB student. “It made our dreams feel real — and achievable.”
