October half-term came to a close with a meaningful day in our school calendar, Pink Day. This annual event saw the entire St. Catherine’s community dressed in every shade of pink, standing together in support of breast cancer awareness month. From our youngest learners in the Lower School to our Upper School students, parents, teachers, and staff, the day was a vivid reminder of the power of unity and compassion.
Pink Day is a movement that reflects our values of curiosity, care, integrity and dedication as a community with compassion and collective action. It gives us the opportunity to show solidarity with those affected by breast cancer and to contribute meaningfully to the wider world beyond our school gates.
This year, both our Lower and Upper School students supported two important charities that make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families impacted by breast cancer.
Every bit of pink attire, every act of kindness, and every contribution helped raise not just funds but awareness, reinforcing that when we come together with purpose, we can make a real difference.
At St. Catherine’s, Pink Day embodies our principles of understanding, caring, and creating a better future. It reminds us that community spirit is not only about what we do within the school walls but how we reach out and support all families affected by breast cancer.
Thank you to everyone in our community who dressed in pink, donated, and helped make this year’s Pink Day a success. Together, we continue to build a community of empathy, action, and hope.
