Three days of sunshine, thrilling football and unforgettable moments! From 9 to 11 October, St Catherine’s football teams travelled to Barcelona to compete in the World Schools Football Cup, returning with three medals, impressive results and memories to last a lifetime!

Against a backdrop of sunny skies and fierce competition, our young footballers took to the pitch with determination, enthusiasm and an incredible team spirit. From spectacular goals and hard-fought victories to dramatic comebacks and nerve-wracking penalty shoot-outs, every match brought new challenges, excitement and opportunities to shine.

Ben Taylor, Director of Sport at St Catherine’s shared:

“What a great experience for our pupils, who represented St Catherine’s with real pride and were excellent ambassadors for the school and for Greece. Seeing so many different age groups supporting each other so passionately was fantastic, and it shows what a special sporting community we have at St Cat’s.”

Our students rose to the occasion, demonstrating resilience, skill and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Whether celebrating a goal, encouraging a teammate or bouncing back from a difficult result, they showed what it means to represent St Catherine’s, both on and off the pitch.

Three Medals and Six Fantastic Team Performances!

The tournament brought some exceptional achievements across all six St Catherine’s teams, with three podium finishes making the experience even more special!
