First Aid and Fire Marshall Staff Training

Health & Safety of our students and staff are always our priority! Two training opportunities for staff this week, a refresher course for First aid and a Fire Marshall Training.

First Aid Staff Training

On Saturday 7th May 13 staff took part in the Refresher course for Paediatric First Aid, for which the training was provided by First Aid Greece. In addition 15 staff took the Fire Protection & Prevention Educational Program on Monday 9th May, held by Pyrognosi. We believe in  the  importance of our staff being properly trained and having the chance to refresh their knowledge and skills when it comes to emergency situations, creating a responsible and safe enviroment for our students.

Pediatric First Aid Course

The EFR Care for Children course primarily focuses on recognising and attending to life threatening problems with infants and children. You will also learn first aid skills that prepare you to render emergency care for common problems that are less serious. Injury and illness assessment teaches you how to identify a child's injuries or gather information about an illness to pass on to emergency medical personnel.

"I learned the skills needed to effectively provide basic life support and secondary care for my young children through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice. As a parent, I now have complete confidence in my ability to provide care when an emergency situation arises...."
[Vasiliki Karabatsos. First Aid Student, Mother of 2]
