Our pupils from across the Lower School and EYFS enjoyed a fabulous picnic lunch in celebration of King Charles III Coronation enjoying the musical atmosphere and the glorious sunshine. All the pupils and teachers were looking very regal in their hand painted crowns and enjoying delicious snacks generously made by our families!
A big thank you to all the Class Reps and staff who contributed to making this a special memory in the history of our children!
Upper School celebrated in their red, white and blue and will be enjoying a special assembly this week by Mr Smith, where they will learn all about coronation.
"Millions of people across the UK and beyond celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III - a symbolic ceremony combining a religious service and pageantry.
The ceremony was held at Westminster Abbey, with the King becoming the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned there since 1066. Queen Camilla was crowned alongside him before a huge parade back to Buckingham Palace." - BBC News
Best wishes from everyone at St Catherine's for King Charles III and Queen Camilla for a long and healthy reign!
Long Live the King!
