This Week’s MFL Christmas Market to Benefit Two Worthy Charities

Celebrating Languages, Cultures, and the Spirit of the Season
A fun way to end the week this coming Friday!
A fun way to end the week this coming Friday!

The Modern Foreign Languages Department is delighted to invite the St Catherine’s community to this year’s MFL Christmas Market, taking place on Friday, 12th December, from 10:00 to 16:00.

This much-loved event brings our languages to life as students showcase Christmas traditions from around the world through homemade gifts, festive treats, and cultural displays. It is a joyful celebration of the languages they study and the diverse cultures they encounter—while also supporting two meaningful causes during the festive season.

Supporting Nine Lives & MITERA

All proceeds from the market will be donated to:

Nine Lives Greece – an animal welfare charity dedicated to rescuing and caring for stray cats in Athens.

Child Protection Branch of Attica “MITERA” – supporting vulnerable children and families. Since MITERA does not accept monetary donations, all funds allocated to them will be used by the school to purchase essential items from their wish list (shared below) on their behalf. This ensures that the support from our community directly meets their current needs.

How You Can Help:

Visit the MFL Christmas Market to purchase goodies for a good cause. Since this is a student-oriented event, purchases are cash-only.

Help us gather donations for Mitera. In the spirit of giving, we also warmly welcome contributions of new toys and supermarket-friendly items which will be delivered directly to MITERA. Every donation helps brighten the festive season for children in their care and provides important everyday essentials. Donations welcome through 19th December
