If there was ever proof that the St Cats spirit does not fade with time, our Alumni Holiday Party 2025 delivered it in style. With over 150 alumni filling the Lower School Hall, the night brought together familiar faces from the early 2000s right through to our newest alumni, the Class of 2025, who officially joined the alumni party scene. From the moment the doors opened, it felt like stepping straight back into school, only this time with drinks and fewer essay deadlines.
There was something extra special about being back in the Lower School Hall this time. For many, this is where it all began, and seeing the space buzzing once again with laughter, music, and lots of stories to catch up on hit all the right nostalgic feelings. It was a joy to welcome our much loved former “forever” staff alongside current teachers, reconnecting with alumni and exchanging experiences about where life has taken everyone, whether over the course of many years or just the past few months.
With our House colours driving the theme, red, yellow, green and blue cocktails stole the spotlight and ignitied plenty of house pride. Paired with great food, festive décor, and throwback photos lighting up the hall on the stage projector, the evening captured a St Cats celebration that was relaxed, energetic, and full of good vibes.
Keeping the energy high was our very own Joseph Johnson Afthonidis, Class of 2019, spinning Christmas vinyl records and crowd favourites throughout the night. An alumni DJ, a jazzy soundtrack, and a packed hall made the evening even more memorable.
The night also highlighted the generosity that defines our alumni community. Our IB Scholarships donation stand saw alumni come together to contribute close to €600 in just a few hours, showing genuine support for future students and a shared belief in giving back to the school that shaped so many journeys. Thank you to everyone who gave. Your support truly matters.
A big thank you goes to our brilliant CAS students, who stepped in as Santa’s helpers for the evening. From warm welcomes to behind the scenes support, they kept everything running smoothly and added to the welcoming atmosphere.
We wrapped up the night with house rivalry and festive fun, drawing raffle winners from Endeavour, Victory, Mayflower, and Revenge out of colour coded Santa hats. The prize was iconic LB Creations PE shirts, proudly repping house colours once again.
Whether you joined us this time or missed out, nights like this remind us that St Cats is not just a school, it is a lifelong community. We cannot wait to see many of you, especially those based in the UK or planning a visit, at our London Alumni Event this March at The Glassblower in Piccadilly.
