Happy Lunar New Year!

To all our community celebrating the Lunar New Year, we wish you all the best for the Year of the Tiger! - Thank you for your support and for all that you are doing for our school.

Part of our St Catherine's experience as an international school is learning about all the different cultures of our student body and sharing the highlights in the classroom acroos the curriculum.  In school this week our students enjoyed learning about the traditions of their peers and the Lunar New Year!

The Lower School students enjoyed exploring the Chinese zodiac and reading their fortune cookies. In the Upper School they had the opportunity to make a wish for the year ahead and add it to the 'wishes tree' in the foyer - Have a look below as some of the heartwarming wishes!  DDP very kindly added a chinese menu on this special day for all the students and faculty, which was a real treat!

A huge  thank you to all our our families who contributed, and to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China for donating decorations for the occasion, and to Mrs Burbidge for her great work for all our community to enjoy!

Everyone enjoyed this special day of learning, especially the students who learnt another culture and an understanding of their fellow students in the class.
